concept-arts for book "on the shores of fog"

there is some concept-arts based on the book "on the shores of fog" by Fedor Chesko.

1'st picture.
The finger (a tall rock thickening towards the summit) reared at the very mouth of the road-gorge, where almost sheer stone walls shook back from one another, they were breaking open by gentle ledges, embracing the Crude Valle. However, some people called it not wet, but gray because of the unsteady, hazy mist constantly creeping along it.

2'st picture.
Shouted black-bearded. He ran to the Finger, ran with all his might, only he had little strength left. His breastplate was drenched in red, bloody bubbles burst on his lips, he lurched on the run, and the nearby cliffs multiplied his hoarse breathing with mocking echoes. And after him, heavy long jumps rushed, thundering, a monster - two-legged and two-handed, but with a bare, huge, ridged skull, gleaming like a rare gland; with a flat, faceless, and lipless face, on which, instead of the eyes, a blind narrow slit gaped with blackness.
